ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- Jeremaine Andre celebrates the Thai New Year everyday with his discipline in the martial art of Muay Thai.
The combat sport uses standing strikes, grabs an clinches. Fighters use their fists, elbows and knees to face an opponent. Andre often uses Muay Thai to teach self-defense, because there is no need for a weapon. People can defend themselves against attackers with their bare hands.

Andre teaches the technique at the Martial Arts Hall of Fame in St. Peters. But, his students will also demonstrate the art at the Thai New Years Festival in Florissant.
