(KTVI)- Dr. Sameer Hinduja is the Co-Director of the Cyberbullying Research Center. He spoke with FOX 2's Lisa Hart about their local workshop that ties into the 'Character Goes Viral' program to prevent cyberbullying.

Dr. Hinduja's three hour workshop will focus on the benefits of grassroots campaigns like #startswithus and The Clothes Pin Challenge can counter cyberbullying by creating a school climate of kindness, inclusion and connection.

There will be information on when adults should intervene in incidents that originate on social media, the dangers of social media 'friending' between adults and teens and the best ways to structure school policies that help prevent cyberbullying.

Participants will also learn about cases that have created legal precedent.
