Dietician says ‘ugly food’ can have more nutrients than perfect produce

ST. LOUIS – You can get more nutrition for less money by eating ugly produce. That is according to Registered Dietician Heather Creech from Profile by Sanford.

She said ugly fruits and veggies are often more nutritious than the perfect-looking food in grocery stores. She also gave us tips to find that less-than-attractive food in order to save money.
