ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – It was the tendon pop heard around the Major Leagues – one of baseball’s premier pitchers, Adam Wainwright, out for the season with a torn Achilles heel. He’ll have surgery Thursday and spend the rest of the year rehabbing.

The hope is that he’s back for spring training of next year.
