(KTVI) -  When you're off the beaten trail hitting ruts, rocks and rolling left and right, luxury doesn't always come in mind unless you're in the new Luxury Jeep Wrangler.  Dan Wiese shows it to us.

Check out these specs:

.)     Wrangler Unlimited is the four-door version of the classic soft-top Jeep.

.)     Wrangler Unlimited not only is among the most affordable convertibles you can buy, it also is the ONLY four-door convertible you can buy. And, unheard of for a convertible, it seats five.

.)     This Unlimited is a roughneck SUV that can function as a family vehicle.

.)     In an era of softie, car-based crossover SUVs, the Jeep Wrangler is a renegade. It is among a handful of vehicles that remain the genuine article when it comes to sport-utilities, meaning this four-wheel drive tough guy will climb a rope in the outback.

.)     Wrangler retains its front/rear solid-axle/coil-spring suspension, which is unique to Wrangler.

.)     Despite its inherent off-road capability, Jeep is seeking to make Wrangler more civilized while, at the same time, retaining its peerless four-wheel drive capability. Thus, its easier-to-adjust, more comfortable seats and easier-to-fold soft top for 2013.

.)     Those seeking a Wrangler - particularly the four-door Unlimited - need to know what they`re getting. This is not a unibody, car-based crossover. This is a quarter-ton truck.

.)     In view of the above, and despite its ability to accelerate to 60 in the 8-second range in four-door trim, it rides very firm and handles like the truck it is. Interior noise levels also are high.

.)     This one is about fun. And fun it is. The price is modest mpg, interior noise and a firm ride.
