ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – It’s time to go Driving With! St. Louis Post Dispatch automotive writer Dan Weiss tells us all about the all new Alfa Romeo 4C Spider.

After a nearly 20-year absence, Alfa Romeo returned to the U.S. market last year with the 4C Coupe. Now comes the 4C Spider, which is just arriving in showrooms.

The Spider is virtually identical to the coupe, except that it features a removable fabric roof panel that stows in the trunk. Optional, for $3,500, is a removable carbon-fiber roof panel, but that can’t be stowed in the vehicle, so don’t leave it at home if there’s a chance of rain.

The convertible Spider is $10,000 more than the Coupe. The coupe starts at about $55,000. The Spider starts at $65,000. That said the Spider does come more nicely equipped, including standard leather.

The only Missouri dealer listed on Alfa Romeo’s U.S. website is in Kansas City. There is, however, a dealer in Fairview Heights, Ill.
