Fair St. Louis offers scientific attractions to fair-goers

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Hold the funnel cakes– this year’s Fair St. Louis is offering more than just delicious treats. Scientific, hands-on attractions are in the mix of activities for fair-goers to explore and engage their creative sides.

Cynthia Kramer the Executive Director of SCOPE (Science & Citizens Organized for Purpose and Exploration) joins FOX 2 to share some activities happening at the “Family Festival Zone.”

The STEAM exhibit will feature a variety of interactive scientific experiences for both kids and adults to enjoy. Features will include the chance to:

  • Make 3D glasses
  • Assemble robots
  • Do laparoscopy
  • Build and engineer a structure
  • Build a stomp rocket

The Ameren/Purina Family Festival zone, featuring the STEAM exhibit, will be open daily, until 7 p.m., during the Fair July 2, 3 and 4 at Forest Park.
