ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI)- Four fans upset over Stan Kroenke’s decision to move the Rams to Los Angeles have filed a lawsuit against the owner.
The lawsuit alleges Kroenke and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Kevin Demoff made false statements and essentially lying about their intentions to keep the football team in St. Louis.
Attorney Gonzalo Fernandez of Deveraux, Stokes and Fernandez spoke with the Fox 2 team this morning to discuss different aspects of the case.
The lawsuit was filed Wednesday, Jan. 14 by James Pudlowski, Louis Cross III, Gail Henry and Steve Henry in the St. Louis Circuit Court. The four claim the Rams violated Missouri’s Merchandising Practices Act by making false statements in connection with the sale of tickets and goods.
The lawsuit also claims anyone who bought a Rams ticket or merchandise from 2010 to 2015 suffered damages, as well as those fans who bought personal seat licenses (PSL).
The group is currently seeking class action status through the St. Louis Circuit Court.
