ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Designers at the St. Louis 2nd Annual Natural Hair and Black Cultural Expo will offer ways to keep looks fresh as the temp dips for fall.
Organizer Donielle Williams suggested those with natural hair moisturize their hair from the inside out.
She recommended drinking plenty of water and maintaining a healthy diet. Williams also looked to essential oils for moisture. Even if you have natural hair, she said sleeping in a scar or bonnet can prevent damage to strands and a frizzy look. She also said keeping locks trimmed can also keep your look fresh.
If you are looking to enjoy a trend for fall, Williams said to go for unique shades of gray, blue, and deep shades of violet. She also suggested a pop of color with red and orange.
As for Bantu Knots, Williams said they are back.
