(KTVI) - If you don't brush your teeth, it can lead to bad teeth and gum disease. Besides looking bad, it can also cause many other health issues such as heart valve damage in all ages.

That's why one group plans a free dental clinic a week from this Friday and Saturday.  Dr. Craig Hollander of Pediatric Dentistry of Sunset Hills explains.

The event is sponsored by Give Kids A Smile. Children will get comprehensive dental care and not just preventative work.

Eligible children include toddlers thru 8th grade students who qualify for Medicaid or free school lunch programs may participate.  Children must preregistered to attend.

It takes place Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Saint Louis University`s Center for Advanced Dental Education.

On Friday the clinic is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Visit Give Kids a Smile website for more details or call 636-397-6453 to make an appointment.
