ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – St. Louis is joining forces with ten U.S. cities to beat the Guinness World Record for the most soccer balls ever dribbled by a group at one time.

St. Louis made history last year when 428 soccer dribblers came together to set the Guinness World Record. But the United Nations defeated the record with 2,068 dribblers in the Gaza Strip.

America SCORES sites across the country will synchronize their soccer dribble time and take back the record. Participating cities include Atlanta, San Francisco, Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Portland, Milwaukee, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle and St. Louis. The local event will take place at SLU’s Hermann Stadium before the Homecoming Men’s soccer game.
