ST. LOUIS – House fires tend to increase this time of year. Christmas trees, candles, and space heaters can all put you in harm’s way.

Eight out of 10 fire deaths in the United States occur in the home.

Fire spreads quickly as a tiny flame can turn into total destruction in a matter of minutes.

Paul Richard, a local coordinator for the National Fire Sprinkler Association, joined us to explain more.
