Ice Carnival icy fun: Frozen putt putt

UNIVERSITY CITY, MO (KTVI) – The Loop Ice Carnival is held every year in mid-January. It kicks off with the Snow Ball Friday. Ice carver David Vancamp brought one of the fun things for kids of all ages – ice putt putt. Tim Ezell tried his luck. Fore!

After the Frozen Buns Runs Saturday, the Ice Carnival heats up with dozens of events and activities throughout the day. For kids, there are game booths all along the street. There are also ice slides next to Blueberry Hill and ice carving demonstrations in Fitz’s parking lot.

There are also many new events this year including skydiving from the Red Bull Air Force Dive Team. The skydivers will land in front of The Moonrise Hotel at 3:00pm.

Frozen Buns Runs

Saturday’s events at the Loop Ice Carnival begin with the Frozen Buns Runs at 10 a.m. There is a 5K or a 10K route to choose from. Runners can register before the race at Blueberry Hill from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The entry fee is $30.
