(KTVI) - Jackie Joyner-Kersee is one of the world's greatest athletes. And 25 years ago she set an Olympic record 7,291 point in the Heptathlon that still stands today!

But while she's cheering on the Redbirds, she's also trying to keep kids active.

Jackie Joyner-Kersee talked with Randi Naughton and Glenn Zimmerman about an upcoming event.

It's a Gala to support the Jackie Joyner-Kersse Foundation. "Hold the Torch High for Kids" takes place on October 22 at 6 p.m. at Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark.
