ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- The St. Louis County Pet Adoption Center and Animal Control department want to make sure your pet makes it through the summer safely.

Officers and veterinarians warm pet owners to never leave their pet in a car. They point out that a sunny 70-degree day can heat a car to over a 100 degrees when the windows are rolled up.

If you see a pet in a car, call the St. Louis County Police Non-Emergency number: (314) 889-2341.
