ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI) -- Many parents can't afford to pay so much for school supplies. But there is an organization that's making sure those who are in need can get what they need.

KidSmart  is asking for the public's help with their "Push for Pencils" drive. Over 90,000 children in the immediate St. Louis Metro Area start school each year without the school supplies they need to be ready to learn.

Jennifer Miller, President of KidSmart talked to Margie Ellisor about the Push for Pencils drive and how the public can help.
