KIRKWOOD, MO (KTVI) - The floods beginning December 28 caused unimaginable damage to the Kirkwood Athletic Association (KAA) fields. Now they are asking for help getting the fields back to playing condition.

Eric Eickmeyer, the president of the Kirkwood Athletic Association, spoke with Fox 2's Lisa Hart to look at the damages and discuss their plans to rebuild.

The KAA has been operating in the St Louis community since 1960. Though the KAA has dealt with floods before, the December floods caused record damage to the park.

The KAA plans to have its fields restored and ready for the spring season, which begins March 26. Efforts to restore the park are already underway, but they need your help. The association has set up a GoFundMe page with a goal of $75,000 to rebuild.

100 percent of all donations will be used exclusively for the restoration of the facility due to the flood damage.

Donations will be directed to Kirkwood Athletic Association - a 501c Non-Profit Organization. All donations are tax-deductible.
