(KTVI)-On Saturday, December 21, Centenary United Methodist Church will be the host site for the Longest Night memorial service honoring the lives and memory of homeless men and women who have died during the past year. The ecumenical program will honor those who have passed away with song and prayer, and will offer their friends and family the opportunity to share their memories.

This service will be one of many being held in cities representing forty-five states, Puerto Rico and Washington, DC which observe National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day.

The service begins at 4:00pm in the sanctuary at Centenary UMC at 1610 Olive Street. Dinner will be served in The Bridge dining room immediately following.

The event is co hosted by The Bridge, a 501 (c) (3) agency that provides daytime sanctuary for homeless and at-risk persons in St. Louis.
