(KTVI) - Last year, Missouri's controversial "Facebook Law" was created to protect children from sexual predators. The legislation was attacked for going too far in restricting social media communications between teachers and students.

The uproar culminated in two lawsuits and led the state legislature to revise the legislation. The revised law went into effect Thursday.
