ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- Citizens in Tulsa and Charlotte continue to demand answers after two black men died in officer-involved shootings in those cities. Nerves and hearts are still raw in St. Louis after the officer-involved shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson.

Kevin McKinney, Executive Director of SLACO and Charles Bryson, Executive Director of the City of St. Louis Civil Rights Enforcement Agency tell us all about the Neighborhoods United for Change tour. The new and innovative program came about as a result of the contention and turmoil surrounding Brown’s death.

Residents from north and south St. Louis are discussing issues of race relations, justice, policing and equality.

Organizers say the program pairs neighborhood residents for a day of touring each other`s neighborhood. They’ll engage in structured conversations involving impressions from the tour, ideas for bridging racial, economic and geographic divides and brainstorming.
