(KTVI) – February is “Heart Health Month” and heart disease is the number one killer of women. Now, new guidelines reduce strokes in women. Dr. Allison Zazulia from the Washington University School of Medicine talks about the new guidelines.

Some causes of strokes:

  • high blood pressure
  • migraine with aura
  • diabetes
  • depression
  • emotional stress
