ST. CHARLES, MO (KTVI) - Abby Broadstone , with the Greenway Network, showed how their organization uses many avenues to invite people into learning about clean water.  Art is one such method.  The Stream Trash ART project gives artists the opportunity to make sculptures out of trash collected during our annual Mission: Clean Stream.

Dr. Charlene Waggoner, Greenway Network President, showed some fun activities for kids include sunpainting and upcycled art projects.

Walt Crawford also brought the World Bird Sanctuary’s new baby vulture.  Viewers from the 9am show sent in lots of suggestions for a name for the little guy (who is now not so little). Walt announced the bird’s name is now Mortimer!

You can see Mortimer and other birds and learn why they are important to the environment at Vulter Awareness Day at the sanctuary.
