Run-A-Thon held in memory of fallen Marine, Soldier, and police officer

(KTVI)- Robert Traxel was both a U.S. Marine, and Soldier, a member of the Missouri National Guard and the U.S. Naval Reserves, and a Florissant Police Officer. He lost his life in July 2012 while working as broadcast journalist for the 70th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment with the Missouri National Guard, while serving on a humanitarian training exercise in Guatemala.

Robert was a member of Algabil-Freedom Masonic Lodge #636 AF & AM, Moolah Shrine Temple and the Metropolitan Press Club of St. Louis.

The first Robert J. Traxel Memorial walk/run will take place on May 3rd at the Sullivan High School. The school is located at 1073 East Vine in Sullivan, MO. Proceeds benefit A Soldiers Child Foundation and the Sullivan DeMolay. The entry fee is only $20.
