There's an ongoing debate on whether or not fertility clinics should be allowed to set an age limit for women seeking to have a baby.

About 680 U.S. women over the age of 50 gave birth in 2013 and that number is increasing, according to the National Vital Statistics Report. The American Society for Reproductive Medicine recommends physicians discourage women older than 55 from seeking fertility treatments.
