(KTVI) – Women who took the sleep drug Ambien took too high of a dose. Research confirms Ambien affects men and women differently. Dr. Jospeh Ojile from the Clayton Sleep Institute explains how the drug metabolizes differently in men and women.

The FDA approved Ambien 20 years ago. Last year, it cut the suggested dose of Ambien in half for women. That means women were taking twice as much Ambien as they need.
