ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- The St. Louis Blues Alumni Association will be honored at the 2016 Epworth Pillar of Strength ceremony April 2nd in downtown St. Louis.

Former Blues player Reed Low tells us how hockey fans can enjoy some really fantastic experiences as part of the celebration!

Low is a retired Canadian ice hockey player who last played in the NHL for the Chicago Blackhawks organization. Low was known primarily for his role as an enforcer.

Recipients of the Pillar of Strength Award are those who embody the soul of Epworth's mission:

To help youth and families find strengths, break through obstacles and build brighter futures. Through their involvement in the community, they inspire others with their acts of compassion, support and empowerment.

For 150 years, Epworth Children and Family Services has provided the St. Louis community with essential youth development services that have helped thousands of children overcome severe emotional and behavioral challenges caused by abuse or neglect.
