ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI)- The science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields are growing in popularity as demand for jobs in the sector increase.
Now, a St. Louis based program is working to make those fields more attractive to a more diverse crowd by hosting events every Thursday at the Venture Café.
The BioSTL website states the program is dedicated to identifying high-potential, talented women and minority bio-science entrepreneurs and providing a systematic pathway for them to create viable high-growth ventures.
Dr. Cheryl Watkins-Moore, the Director of Bio-science and Entrepreneurial Inclusion at BioSTL, spoke with Kim Hudson this morning to discuss the initiative program and who they are looking for.
