(KTVI)- Robert Frost said 'Good fences make good neighbors." In some ways that may be true.
Psychotherapist Dr. Russell Hyken explains why teaching your child to be a good neighbor is so important.
He says learning how to be neighborly is a skill that can also transfers well beyond your property line and it starts with adults.
Ways to be a good neighbor:
Talk with your neighbors parent to parent.
Literal: Explain where your property ends and where your neighbors properties' begin.
Figurative: Your kids may be entirely your property but yelling loudly as they play game or sport.
Don't cover it up because problems accidents will happen.
Teach your children to look for opportunities to help and serve.
