ST. LOUIS – Over 35 million people in the U.S. use inhalers, but many use them wrong.
About 25 million people in the U.S. have asthma and 12 million have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
Now a new study has found that many patients are using them wrong. SLUCare pulmonologist Dr. Armin Krvavac explains.
Krvavac said a patient using their inhaler wrong can result in a decreased amount of medication to the lungs and no relief of their symptoms.
