ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Take a break from that summer diet to dive into pancakes, made from scratch!

Heather Rounds and Aubrey Willis from the Original Pancake House in Ladue are cooking pancakes on the 9 AM Show!

They make their buttermilk batter from a secret proprietary recipe that hasn't changed much since 1953. It starts with an aged sour starter that ferments for 5-7 days in a process similar to beer making.

Specialties of the House include the apple pancake and dutch baby. Some of their other breakfast favorites include super thick bacon, fresh squeezed OJ and amazing fresh berries.
