ST. LOUIS – Heart disease is the number one killer of men and women, taking more lives than all forms of cancer combined. Studies show that vitamins such as  vitamin D, vitamin C, beta carotene and selenium aren’t effective in stopping heart disease.

Dr. Andrew Kates, a  Washington University cardiologist at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, was here at FOX 2 to discuss what would be more effective.
