Talented high school students compete for scholarships in St. Louis Teen Talent Competition

ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI)- Last month, 39 metro area high school acts competed in the semi-final round of the 6th Annual St. Louis Teen Talent Competition. Performing arts professionals judged the acts and narrowed the competition to just 22 finalists. The final round of the competition will be held Saturday, April 23 at The Fabulous Fox Theatre.

The competition is part of the Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation, a charity that fosters, promotes, and encourages young people in the St. Louis region to discover and participate in the joy and wonder of live performances. This morning, the cast and crew at Fox 2 was treated to a performance by one of the 22 finalists, Brett Kim.  Kim is a classical pianist at Lindbergh High School.

The students who win the competition will be eligible to win college scholarships, prizes and additional performance opportunities. The final competition is a Broadway-style show that is free and open to the public. Tickets are available now at now charge through The Fabulous Fox Theatre box office and through Metrotix.
