(KTVI)-Eight days after the school shootings in Newtown, Connecticut, the country’s focus is on gun control and mental health awareness. The Karla Smith Foundation helps families dealing with mental health issues and suicide. Tom and Emily Smith from the Karla Smith Foundation spoke with Andy Banker about mental illness, not just in light of the shootings but also in light of the holidays, which can be especially difficult.
