ST. CHARLES, MO (KTVI) – “The Buddy Fund” celebrates 50 years next week with a golf tournament and St. Louis Blues sports roundtable.

It was founded by St. Louis sports legend Buddy Blattner and supplies sports equipment to at-risk and kids with disabilities in the St. Louis area.

Aaron Perlut with The Buddy Fund explained the program. The fund now works with more than 40 groups and helps about 15,000 children each year.

The Buddy Fund golf tournament and Blues roundtable is next Tuesday, October 9 at the Whitmoor Country Club in St. Charles.  The tournament is at 12:30pm and the round table begins at 6:00pm.
