EUREKA, MO (KTVI) – Tim was flying high Thursday in Eureka in preparation for the Model Aviation Air Show this weekend.

Imagine huge jet-powered model aircraft (which cost $30,000) doing low fly-bys at close to 200mph. Imagine enormous aerobatic aircraft (12 foot wingspan) that are so nimble, they hover, hanging from their propeller a few feet off the ground, billowing smoke. Imagine full-scale (full-size & piloted) aircraft doing fly-bys and a medi-vac helicopter doing demonstration landings and take-offs. Now imagine thousands from the Midwest attending the event: you have in your mind’s eye the SLRCFA Fly-In on June 9 and 10, 2012.
