ST. LOUIS – Your cell phone is one of those things today that you seldom go without, and the information inside of it is precious.
Scott Schaffer with Blade Technologies explained how to avoid hacking whether your phone is physically in your hand, pocket, or not.
Schaffer said hackers will go to the source of your data, such as your iCloud. This probably won’t have your text messages or emails, but it may have your credit card numbers, addresses, and phone numbers.
Schaffer said the worst thing someone can do is connect to free wifi without knowing the network. He said it is particularly bad to do this in an airport.
