ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KTVI)- During last year's Super Bowl, a commercial by the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (NCADA) showed the shocking truth behind heroin use and abuse. The commercial went viral and spread the message of the NCADA.

This year, the NCADA is running a new Super Bowl commercial about the heroin epidemic in hopes of getting the same reaction.

Howard Weissman, Executive Director of NCADA spoke with Fox 2 this morning about the goals of this new media campaign.

The commercial will run immediately following half-time at Super Bowl 50, before the second kick-off. The commercial can be viewed in full at the NCADA website.
