(KTVI)- Urban Chestnut started brewing craft beers in St. Louis, and are now expanding into Germany.
Work is coming full circle for co-founder Florian Kuplent. Urban Chestnut will start brewing small batches in Bürgerbräu Wolnzach, Germany. The company has been exporting to Germany since 2013. But, co-founder David Wolfe believes that the overseas success of Urban Chestnut rests on the company being just as local to Germany as it is to St. Louis. He hopes owning a brewery in Bavaria will be a springboard for more growth.
If you have no plans to travel to Germany anytime soon, Urban Chestnut has two locations in St. Louis.
