MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO (KTVI)- Registered Dietitian and food blogger Serena Ball shares her heart-healthy recipe for Sweet Potato Alfredo. Ball is passionate about finding ways to help kids eat more veggies, make food that is good for you taste good to you, and honoring dietary restrictions.

She develops dishes like Butternut Squash Zig-Zags with Culinary Cuts brand items. She says the squash looks more like crinkle-cut fries. Culinary Cuts are available at area Schnucks and Dierbergs Supermarkets.

1 tablespoon butter
2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 package (12 ounces) Culinary Cuts Sweet Potato Ribbons
¼ cup cream, half & half or evaporated milk
2 ounces Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped (optional)

1. In a large non-stick skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
2. Add Culinary Cuts Sweet Potato Ribbons and cook 4-5 minutes until tender, stirring frequently. Turn heat down to medium; add cream and cook 1-2 minutes until Ribbons absorb some of the liquid.
3. Remove from heat and stir in cheese, reserving some for garnish. Top with rosemary if desired. Serve with extra cheese.
