(KTVI) - You may have heard of the X-Prize for the first privately built, manned spacecraft, but the organization has set its sights on many other issues around the world -- most recently, finding a cure for Alzheimer's.

Washington University School of Medicine Neurosurgeon Dr. Eric Leuthardt received an X-Prize for his proposal on a treatment for Alzheimer's disease.
