(KTVI) - Resilience, resolution and realization in Joplin, Missouri.  Those three elements helped them recover from their massive tornado two years ago on May 22.

A moment of silence will be held at 5:41pm Wednesday, the time a EF-5 tornado touched down, killing 161 people.  A memorial fountain and plaque at the park commemorate those who died.

A volunteer tribute at the park recognizes the more than 175,000 volunteers who have helped the Joplin area recover.

Sam Anselm is Joplin's assistant city manager and talked to us Wednesday morning about how recovery is going and what the city is doing for people in Oklahoma.
