    One man is in custody after an accident at a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans injured at least 28 people, five seriously, officials said.     (FOX) – Authorities say a former teacher in Texas is facing sexual assault charges, allegedly impregnating a 15-year-old who used to be his student. Charges were filed against Cornelius Smith last month when authorities discovered the 26-year-old had a sexual relationship with his former student.     (FOX)-Hundreds gather in Australia Friday to break a holiday-themed Guinness World Record. A Christmas tree in Canberra shattered the record for the most lights on an artificial tree. The 22-meter tree was dolled up with over 518,000 lights, including a glowing star comprised of 12,000 glowing bulbs. That beats the old record set by Universal Studios in Japan back in 2010 of just over 374,000 on a 36-meter tree.
