ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Some families experiencing financial difficulty can now turn to food stamps to help them feed their pets. The pet food stamps will help struggling families keep their furry friends rather than turn them into a shelter. The way it works: Private donors pay for the food deliveries on a website. Recipients have to be pre-approved. Once they’re in the program they will have pet food delivered to their door at no cost. More information: PetFlow.com
ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – If you or your child will be headed to college next year, you already know how expensive it can get. The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis, a nonprofit organization, offers an interest-free loan for area students of up to $7,000 per academic year. After completing an application, you’ll then be asked additional questions that will help match you to different scholarships. The deadline to apply is November 15th.
