Molly Rose is a traffic anchor for FOX 2 News in the Morning. As a new mom, Molly loves reporting on topics moms care about for the “STL Moms” report in the 8 a.m. show. She joined FOX 2 news in 2017 as a reporter covering everything from breaking news to city council meetings.
Molly loves being back home in St. Louis after spending several years as a reporter in Kansas City. Before that, she worked as a reporter and anchor in Charlottesville, Virginia. She is a proud graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia School of Journalism (Go Tigers!) and loves her St. Louis Cardinals.
It’s been a lifelong dream for Molly to work as a journalist in St. Louis. She started her journalism career 15 years ago when she served as editor-in-chief for her high school newspaper. Molly lived in Dellwood until second grade and attended Griffith Elementary School. She grew up just across the river in Edwardsville and graduated from Edwardsville High School.
Molly appreciates that journalism allows her to investigate wrongdoings. She is the recipient of a 2014 National Edward R. Murrow Award for one of her investigations revealing an incident in which the University of Virginia Hospital made a devastating affecting a grieving family. She has also been recognized by the Virginia Associated Press for her work.
One of Molly’s favorite places in St. Louis is Forest Park. She and her husband were married at The Jewel Box. Molly is a huge animal lover and spends a lot of time outside with her 10-year-old black lab rescue dog Avery. She is the proud mommy to a baby girl named Hattie. She has a passion for health and fitness and loves to listen to podcasts and read books on the latest research. Have one she should check out? E-mail her at firstname.lastname@example.org. She would also love to hear your ideas for STL Moms reports.
