1 dead, 1 wounded in Union, Missouri shooting

UNION, MO (KTVI) - One man is dead and a woman injured during an early morning shooting in Union, Missouri. The incident took place around 2a.m. at a home located in the 100 block of Highland Drive. Police were dispatched to the home for a report of gunshots.  They arrived to find a 34-year-old woman who sustained a non- life threatening gunshot wound to her arm. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Authorities also located a man inside of the home with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as 34-year-old Mitchell R. Ham.

Authorities believe the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute between the male and female. No other suspects are being sought at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation.
