DES MOINES, IA – Lotto officials in Iowa are trying to find the man who claimed a 14.4 million dollar jackpot. According to ABC News the winning ticket was purchased at a Des Moines gas station in December 2010. The claim for the jackpot was made just hours before it expired. Now the state’s division of criminal investigation is looking into if anyone was killed or blackmailed in connection to the claim.

Crawford Shaw, 77, of Bedford New York said he represented the owner of the winning ticket. The winning ticket was sent to attorneys Des Moines by FedEx. It was verified as a winner/ But, no one showed up to claim the money.
