(KTVI)- An overnight joy ride took a dangerous turn Thursday morning in south St. Louis. Authorities say, a 14-year-old boy took the keys to his mother’s brand new Chevrolet Equinox in the middle of the night. The boy picked up three of his friends to go joy riding around town. The underage driver noticed a police officer and panicked. He lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree.
The vehicle flipped on its side.
