LOS ANGELES CO., CA (CNN) - A multi-vehicle pile-up in Southern California this morning left at least 17 people hurt. Police say a big rig and about 18 cars crashed on the southbound 14 Freeway in LA County's Agua Dulce. County fire officials say at least two of the injured are in critical condition.
The crash temporarily shut down a section of the highway and you can see why debris and the 25 pounds of sand the tractor trailer was carrying cluttered the freeway.
California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
