ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The Genome Institute At Washington University is making breakthroughs in the fight against cancer. It's just one of three genetic sequencing centers in the US.

The center just received $25-million to continue that work. It came from the James S. McDonnell family.  This is the first big private donation the center has received.
