PIASA, IL (KTVI) – Stepped-up school security this morning for a school district in  Illinois. For the second day in a row Southwestern Community Unit School District #9 North of Alton will be  on lock-down. This time, because of a  threatening note found at a middle school.

A previous note left in a high school classroom in Piasa prompted a lock-down Thursday and extra security measures at Southwestern high school. Older students were searched and had to leave their book bags at home. By mid afternoon authorities were satisfied they had eliminated the  threat.
